Raiders sign WR Brenden Rice and LB Jamin Davis to the practice squad

The Raiders have signed WR Brenden Rice to the practice squad, the teamannouncedWednesday.

Rice was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He appeared in three games as a rookie before he landed on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. He has spent time this season on the Patriots and Seahawks practice squads. A second-team All-Pac-12 selection as a senior, Rice began his collegiate career at Colorado before transferring to USC, playing two seasons at each school. He finished his four-year career with 111 receptions for 1,821 yards and 21 touchdowns. Rice is the son of Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Raiders alsoannouncedthe signing of LB Jamin Davis to the practice squad.

A former first-round draft pick (19th overall) by the Washington Commanders in 2021, Davis joined the Raiders after spending the 2025 offseason and training camp with the New York Jets. The 6-4, 234-pound linebacker out of the University of Kentucky has played in 54 career games (36 starts) over four seasons in the NFL with the Commanders (2021-24) and Minnesota Vikings (2024), totaling 284 tackles (176 solo), 8.0 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, six passes defensed, one interception, 11 quarterback hits, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
