What Happened on the Wild Chargers Interception & Fumble vs. Eagles

Eric Smith

You never know what you'll see in any given game.

The Chargers and Eagles produced one of the wilder moments of the season on Monday night that resulted in a total of three turnovers on one single play.

With the Philadelphia offense facing a third-and 1, the Chargers defense showed pressure before Da'Shawn Hand dropped into coverage and intercepted Jalen Hurts.

But on the return, Eagles running back Will Shipley forced the ball out of Hand's hand, which was recovered by Hurts.

And if things weren't wild enough, Chargers rookie Jamaree Caldwell then forced a fumble on Hurts, which was recovered by linebacker Troy Dye after the pigskin tumbled around on the turf.

Hurts had as many turnovers over the first eight games of the year as he did on that single play on Monday night, according to ESPN's Bill Barnwell.

In a season filled with memorable plays, this might go down as one of the most by the time the season is wrapped up.
